You probably know that most Greeks are "Greek Orthodox" - that is Orthodox Christians. In fact, Greece has been Orthodox since the Apostles of Christ, including St Paul and St Andrew established the first Churches.
These "biblical" and "apostolic" Churches (Corinth, Athens, Thessaloniki) are still, and have always been Orthodox. These Churches are in communion with the ancient Church of Jerusalem and other Orthodox Churches throughout the world, including St Innocent's in Eureka. This means:
Apostolic roots. Apostolic faith - unchanged. Apostolic worship - "on earth as it is in heaven..."
In fact, the New Testament was written in the Koine form of the Greek language which is still used and understood by many in Greece.
Patmos - where the book of Revelation was received and written - is also an island in Greece. If you wonder about the meaning of this book, as the Church who wrote it! In Eureka, we are on 939 F Street. You also hear a lecture on this mysterious book here.
